April Favorite Makeup Look (Tutorial)

5 / 11 / 155 / 24 / 16

Hello my bondbeautys,

So today I am starting a new series where I show you my monthly favorite makeup look , in a tutorial form, every month to go along with my monthly favorite products video. Im super excited because I get to show you how I create my look using my favorite products.

By the way I’m so excited because we finished knocking down our house wall and we have the beam up. It looks so awesome I am so excited that the hard stuff is over. Soon we are going to paint and add flooring !

So if you haven’t seen my April Favorite Beauty Products post check it out.

April Fave makeup

Todays look is a super easy summer/spring appropriate every day makeup look. I love how the coral blush & gold tones in my eye makeup just go together so perfect. I feel like this makeup looks so fresh , clean and beautiful.

Eye palettes

I did use the Divergent Collectors kit Erudite & Abnegation Palettes. You do not have to use these ones I showed you close ups of the eye shadows so you can find eye shadows that are similar! But for those of you who do have the collectors kit already  I thought it would be neat to use it! The Hard Candy Natural Eyes palette has very Similar shades.

step by step

For the rest of my face I kept it pretty natural and fresh. I love using my real techniques sponge because it applies my foundation flawlessly. A trick I like to do is contour my cheek bones. This makes me look a lot thinner which I need ( Specially since I just had a baby). I have been loving the Bh Cosmetics Sculpting kit Contour Brush. Ill put links to where you can find everything I used today if you are interested.

April Beauty Favorites

April Favorites thumb

Hello my bondbeautys,

Today I wanted to share my beauty favorites for this past month , because it is already MAY! Its so crazy how fast time flys and I have been obsessed with one particular makeup look all month long. I am also going to be starting a new series where I also do my Favorite Makeup Look for the Month. So I will be showing you a makeup look using these beauty favorites on Monday so stay tuned!

This past month I have been loving a very natural spring eye & a coral fresh lip + cheek combo. I feel like this all ties together beautifully. Bonus: I think this look is a beautiful spring wedding look as well! It photographs beautifully leaving a beautiful glow to the skin. So lets start talking products..

Eye palettes

These two palettes have been my favorites this month. I know a lot of you bought these when they first came out. They are the Divergent palettes from the Divergent Kit. These are the shades I have been using to create my looks. These eyeshadows are beautifully pigmented, feel so soft & are easy to work with. The top palette is Erudite Palette & the bottom is Abnegation palette.

Favorite products

Now for the rest of the face I feel like all these products go together so nicely. The blush & Lippy just work together because they are both that coral type of shades.

These brushes are from Bh Cosmetics and man did they surprise me I love them. They are all skunk or duo fiber brushes and they do well in not eating up all my product. I also recently took out my Real techniques Beauty Sponge and it just leaves your face looking flawless. It is a great way to blend out foundation.

This Grafix eyeliner by L.A. Colors has been they product that makes my wing liner come to life all month long. It is really black and all though it took me a little to get use to the applicator it is beautiful. ( I don’t recommend it for beginners though)

This hand lotion I got from the Dollar Tree and I can say I am really enjoying it. There were two in a pack and I find that they are super convenient to have on your vanity & purse. Specially because my hands can get ashy looking.

Last is this beautiful Copper nailpolish from E.L.F. Called Copper. It is gorgeous and subtle so if you don’t like “in your face” type of polishes this one is perfect. Bonus its only $2 on their website!

So like I said I will be doing my April Favorite Makeup look Tutorial on Monday so make sure to check back then!

What is your current favorite beauty item?

I Olive You Makeup

3 / 9 / 155 / 24 / 16

Hello my Bondbeautys,

Its early , I’m up and the kids are cozy in their beds still. Perfect time to share this makeup look with you beauties. I was recently looking through my makeup and realized that their is a lot of IPSY products that I have not tried yet! What!! I know pretty crazy, so I took everything out that I have not tried yet & made this beautiful makeup look with it. I also did a easy video tutorial to go along with this post for all you visual learners!

So the star of the show today is the Olive Green pigment , it is gorgeous! As soon as I saw it I new I had to make a look around this color! You don’t usually see wearable olive green eye makeup, but I think that this look turned out pretty darn wearable!

I olive you Makeup collage blog

They Key to making a intense eye look  wearable is making your face makeup & Lips look as natural as possible. So here are the products I used & the steps to create this look. Again If you are more visual then check the tutorial!

Step #1 : Prep

It is so important to prep your skin for makeup! Taking care of your skin is so important because it keeps your skin look smooth & less aged. Nobody wants to look 40 at 25!

Prep1. Moisturizer first

2. Face Primer second

3. Exfoliate those beautiful lips too!

Step #2 : Makeup

Its time to apply some makeup & create a beautiful unique olive eye look. (which makes all eye colors look gorgeous especially brown or honey eyes!)

Products Used

Eyes:

1. Apply a warm brown eyeshadow pencil to the lid & crease, then use your finger to blend it out. (this will be your base.. Do the eyes first so if you have any fall out it won’t mess up your face makeup.)

2. Then use a Midtone Cool brown (Blue heart) to apply into the crease & blend it out real well. (this is going to act as our transition color which will help blend the olive out better)

*the key in this eye look is blending really well so take your time doing this with a fluffy CLEAN blending brush!

3. Apply the olive green with a eyeshadow brush onto the out half of the lid & toward the crease. I used this pigment dry so instead of swiping with the brush just pat the color onto the lid; slowly building up the color.( don’t worry about fall out thats why we didn’t do our face makeup first!) Then blend the green and the crease color together using a Clean blending brush.

4. Apply the light pink in the duo underneath the brow to highlight & in the inner most corner of the eye.

5. Apply the Gold in the duo in the inner half of the lid and with the eyeshadow brush you are using carefully blend the olive green and gold together to make a smooth transition.

Face: (im skipping to the face next but I will be back to finish the eyes later!)

1. Apply your concealer & foundation

2. apply a brightenng concealer in an inverted triangle shape under the eyes to brighten , then powder your face

3. apply a bronzer to the hallows of your cheeks for a subtle contour

4. use a light natural pink blush

5. highlight your cheek bones for a beautiful glow

6. apply a lip stain to your lips (this is what gives your look such a natural effect the stain looks natural!) also apply the stain to the apples of your cheeks to add a naturally flushed appearance.

Eyes: (go back to the eyes to finish )

1. apply the eyeshadow pencil to lower lash line & blend with finger.

2. apply the mid toned brown to the lower lid & add the gold shadow to the inner ⅓ of lower lid

3. apply a black eyeliner to the tight line & a green eyeliner to the waterline

4. apply a liquid liner to the upper lashes making a cat eye winged liner.

5. apply mascara & false lashes if needed!

Thats it , I know it seems like a lot of steps because I really broke everything down so that I could be more detailed. This really is a fast look to accomplish and anyone can do this look! I hope you will try it out & use the hashtag #bondbeautyfullooks so that I can see too!

I hope you guys like seeing video tutorials & step by step instructions, if you do I will definitely do more!

October Makeup Favorites

11 / 11 / 145 / 24 / 16

october faves 2014 thumbHello My Bondbeautys,

So Im a little late with this post, but at the end of each month (or beginning of the next month) I like to post my Monthly makeup/beauty favorites. October was such a fun month for me because of all the Halloween stuff going on! So there are a little random favorites this month because of Halloween.

Like always you can watch the video to see the products , but here on my blog I like to get into more detail about why I like the products etc.

Favorites:

  • Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation- This is one of my favorite foundation in the drugstore because of its full coverage capability’s and its staying power. I have never had a problem with the staying power; I put it on in the morning and its on all day. I also never had a problem with it oxidizing ; which basically means it never changed colors on me throughout the day.
  • Wet N Wild Eye palette : Poster Child- Wet N Wild has some of the best eye shadows out at the drugstore right now! These palettes especially are amazing , this is a newer palette that has only bright, mostly matte, shades. I love the pigmentation , the eye shadows feel soft and smooth. I used this palette for all my Halloween looks this year and really enjoyed it!
  • Kirkland Eyeshadow Palette- This palette is from Cosco and I decided to pull it out last month because I wanted to do a lavender bridal look for on of my blog posts. A lot of you may have already read this post and if not I encourage you to do so. I posted pictures showing you step by step how to achieve the look. This palette really surprised me , the eye shadows felt smooth and almost like velvet.
  • Doll 10: Highlighter- This is a cream Highlighter that is very subtle. Sometime we see pictures where the woman has a glow on her cheek bones , that is all because of a highlighter. Where some highlighters are very glowy and can make you look oily this one is more natural ; which is perfect for everyday use.
  • Kiss Eyelashes 01- Im not one to where eyelashes everyday because its so hard to find natural looking ones. But with that said I have been loving these ones, and you can find them at Walmart or any drugstore.
  • Wet N Wild Color Icon Lip Liner: Cherry Red – This is the lip liner that I used for Halloween and for some of my tutorials as well . It works amazing for only being $1 it stays on all night even when I eat and talk all night.
  • Wet N Wild Lipstick: Cherry Frost $1- This is the lipstick I paired up with the lip liner and like I said before for only $1 it works like magic , very impressive.
  • Wet N Wild Fantasy Lipstick : Black- I Used this lipstick for my Harley Quinn Blog/ Tutorial and I loved it perfect for Halloween.
  • Starlooks Lipgloss: Guilty Pleasures- This lip gloss is a nude lip gloss that I have used all month long. It is not sticky , it is instead very comfortable on the lips and the color pay off is pretty good . I got this in  recent Ipsy bag and have really enjoyed it.

my look Oct faves

I am wearing some of these October Favorites on today so you can see how they look on! I love favorites because then they give you an idea of some good makeup products that are in stores right now!

Thank you guys for all your support I really do appreciate it!

So what is a makeup product that was your favorite for October? Let me know in the comments!

Lilac Bridal Look

10 / 30 / 145 / 24 / 16

Lilac Bridal Look

Hello my Bondbeautys,

I am so excited to share this Bridal Makeup Look with you guys ! For this look I paired up with Lover.ly , which is a online one stop shop for brides. I was really surprised when I visited their website, it really is a one stop shop! I wish this was around when I got married it would have made wedding planning a whole lot easier!

They sent me pictures of three different dresses and I immediately got inspired by the beautiful strapless dress with purple detailing at the bottom. The first thing I noticed on this dress was the beautiful ombre fabric on the dress. It turned this dress into a non- traditional wedding dress. This gave me lots of leg room for what type of makeup to do. Usually bridal makeup is more neutral and natural; but for this look I wanted to add a modern twist by having lilac eye makeup instead of the usually browns. It added flavor and a modern twist to this bridal look without making it look informal. The sweetheart neckline gave me even more of a reason to use a such a feminine color on the eyelid.

Face & Dress

This Lilac Bridal Look that I have created for you will compliment this dress perfectly. The Lilac eye makeup really ties the makeup and the gown together nicely. I wanted this look to be fun and flirty but still elegant. I wanted you to notice the makeup but I didn’t want to take away from how stunning the dress looks. So enough of all the blabbing lets get started with how to accomplish this look. (List of  the products used will be below).

Eeyes

  1. First I applied a white cream eyeshadow base to the Eyelid area. (to help the lilac color show up more vibrantly.)
  2. I then applied a cream matte shade to the brow bone for a subtle highlight. (because the dress is so eye catching I didn’t want to distract with shimmery makeup!)
  3. Then I applied a matte Lilac Shade to the Eyelid. (Using patting motions for the most color payoff).
  4. Next I applied a Light Cranberry Shimmery Shade on the outer half of the lid. (Blend the two shades together)
  5. Apply a Medium Brown shade to the crease with a crease brush.
  6. To deepen the crease I used a Matte Grey shade in the crease and lightly to the outer third of the lid. Then make sure to blend with a fluffy blending brush.
  7. I Also added that same Grey in the lower lid. I also added a pearly white shade to  the inner corner of the lid. (doing this opens your eyes more and it looks stunning in pictures)
  8. Next is  winged liner. I also added a dark eyeliner  to the tight line and in between the upper lashes to add volume. Then in the waterline I added a white eyeliner pencil to open up the eyes even more!
  9. No Bridal look is done without adding lashes! (Lashes really show up beautifully in pictures so even if you are not a lashes girl I would highly recommend them for your wedding pictures).

Eyes done

Since the dress is a strapless dress it adds a sexy vibe to the bridal look ; so I wanted to incorporate that into my eye makeup with a winged eyeliner. Having your eye makeup done is only half of it, next is having flawless face makeup.

Face + Ffinished

  1. First I applied a Matte Bronzer underneath the cheek bone for a nice contour. (Even if you never contour or highlight your face doing so on your wedding will make such a difference in your pictures. Don’t you want that bridal glow?!)
  2. Next I applied my blush, I chose a blush that is more of a natural Pink shade. (you don’t want to much purple or it won’t look natural and will take away from the dress.)
  3. Last I applied a pink highlight shade to the tops of my cheek bones, nose & cupid bow.
  4. For the Lips I decided to do more of a nude pink shade . I used a matte lipstick and then later added a lipgloss for that shiny finish. (Matte or Shiny is up to you, they both photograph beautifully).

This makeup look is so easy you can do it at home. If you are getting it done by a makeup artist make sure to do a trial run. I hope you guys like this look, if you do feel free to pin these pics on your Pinterest for later! Thank you so much for all your support and also thanks to Lover.ly for featuring me on their website! Make sure to check out their website!

March Favorite Beauty Products

3 / 31 / 14

March FavoritesHello my Bondbeautys,

Today is the last day of March! Which means, Its time for March Favorites! This month has been amazing, my son turned one on the 24th and it was a very happy, productive month. I feel like I have really grown in my editing pictures and movie skills! So anyways today I’m going to talk about my favorite beauty products for this month! I felt that instead of showing you lots and lots of pictures I would just show you in a video all my favorites. This way you can see up close and in real life what these products look like!

Products Mentioned:

  1. Wet N Wild Bubblegum Drop Nailpolish: This is such a pretty nail polish for spring! This is part of Wet N Wilds limited edition nail polishes that are currently at the Dollar General!
  2. L.A. Colors Splash Nailpolish Pop Artsy: These neon nailpolish has a purple on one end and glitter on the other. I loved the combination and it lasted just as long as some of my China Glaze polishes!
  3. Sinful Shine Nailpolish Im Blushing: This was one of the most pigmented and even nail polish I own in this light almost white nail polish. Usually polishes like these don’t apply evenly and are not as opaque as you see in the bottle, but with this brand it was!
  4. Nyx Hot Pink Cream Blush: Cream blushes look so natural and beautiful. Even this bright hot pink blush was easy to blend. I love how it looks after all the blending . (Tip : with cream blushes apply a little at a time and blend , build up the color then blend with a brush)
  5. Elf HD Blush showstopper: this blush turned out looking like a cranberry color so beautiful on the cheeks! It is super pigmented that I only need to pump out ¼ of a pea size and its still too much! I think it is beautiful but hard to work with if your a beginner because of the intense color. I suggest trying one of the lighter pinks first!
  6. Elf Moisturizing Studio Lipstick Wink Pink: If you haven’t tried these yet then go get you some right now! These feel so nice on the lips. They sink in and absorb into your lips leaving them feeling soft rather than the color just sitting ton top. This lipstick had a matte finish but it didn’t feel like it! This is also a great shade that will flatter any skin shade! It is a pink nude that is the perfect “my lips but better” shade.
  7. L.A. Colors Grafix Eyeliner: I have never been so impressed with an eyeliner. This does not claim to be waterproof but it still is. It will stay on endless you rub and scrub with water. It is really rich black and is super user friendly for only a dollar at the dollar General it was a steal!
  8. Moroccan Oil Treatment: This makes my hair feel soft, smooth and look like I just came out of a salon! It smells amazing and It has made me want to wear my hair straight more often. It is such an amazing hair product defiantly worth the splurge!
  9. L.A. Colors Quad truffle: These are another pleasant surprise. The eyeshadows feel creamy and silky . They apply nicely without any fall out and better yet they stay on the lids all day without fading or creasing! Makes me want to try more of L.A. Colors eyeshadows, again I found these at the Dollar General.

February Favorites

3 / 3 / 14

Feb Favorites ThumbHey Ladies,

Its February Favorites time! Its the beginning of March , which means its time for me to look at the makeup I have loved for the month of February. All of these are drugstore products so you get to see what products have worked & I have loved for the month of Love. If you want to see me what I have been loving click below!

So like I said this last month was Valentines day month. This means that I have tried a lot of different eye looks. I have done a few tutorials for you guys which means I have been experimenting like crazy on myself ! I do have a few eye products so bare with me!

favorites 1. I have been really trying to take care of my lips (Preparing for lots of kisses). I have been using the Mojito Lip Balm; which i received in my January Ipsy bag. This is such a moisturizing, healing lip balm. At first I was scared to try it because It looks like medicine , but don’t worry its a safe lip balm!

2. Next I have been loving my new E.L.F. Lip exfoliator, this retails for $3 and it works wonders. I just wet my lips and scrub away then you can wash it off or lick it off! It is super easy and convenient to use because of the lipstick form & It leaves my lips feeling soft!

3. I also received this Skiin Eye soothing & Smoothing Cream in my January Ipsy bag. I feel like it has really made the skin around my eyes really soft and hydrated. I didn’t realize how dry my eyes were till I started using this. Now its a part of my morning & night routine!

4. Elf Little Black Book Warmth Edition. I was really impressed with these eyeshadows. Elf’s palettes tend to me inconsistent as far as shade quality but this one was all around pretty good. The colors were buttery soft, easy to blend and they really did well with picking out all different types of finishes for these eyeshadows.

5. Elf Mineral Eyeshadows in Miss Popular & Lunch Break. Lunch break is more of a warm brown with some sparkle. Miss Popular is more of a purple taupe color with a silky finish. I really found these quite soft & creamy like. They were really pigmented and looked beautiful. I was again surprised with these , these are new to there collection so if you haven’t had a chance to try them out give them a try!

6.Elf eyelid Primer: this has been and old favorite. This is from there essential line, I find it very comparable to the urban decay primer potion. It does exactly the same thing & Lasts just as long.

7. Elf Hd Lifting Concealer is a brightening concealer I have been using underneath the eyes. It is thin and easy to work with all you need is your finger to really blend it into the skin. I find that all I need to conceal my under eye circles is foundation and this concealer.

A new mascara to my collection this month is the L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly mascara in water proof. I probably won’t get the waterproof version again. But as far as the Mascara goes I do find that It adds volume. I just find myself being very careful because of the funky brush. Turning the wand one way and using one side of the brush will give you a different result then using the brush another way.

8. Now these bases have been my all time most used favorite for this month. These are the E.L.F. long lasting lustrous eyeshadow in Gala & Soiree.

9. Gala is that deep brown shade some shimmer in it. These are so creamy and bouncy! It reminds me of the dream bounce blushes, feels very similar. Soiree is the beautiful deep cranberry shade which I used on valentines day! These are really great bases they last all day by themselves and they definitely extend the life of your eyeshadow.

10. Last is the Elf Baked Highlighter : Pink Diamonds This is a beautiful pinky highlight. This can be sheer or using water you can make it more pearly on your cheek bone.

So those are all my favorites for this month… What have you been loving for this month?

Look Of the DayBondbeauty Look of the Day. Here is a close up look at how some of these makeup products look..

IMG_0650I am really excited for this next month, my son is turning one and it should be a fun and happy month.

Till Next time,

Remember Beauty Comes From Within So let yours SHINE!
