How to determine your body shape

Hello My Beautyful Friends!

So for todays fashion video I thought we could talk about body shape! Its so important to know your body shape that way you can know what kind of clothing are more flattering on you!

Why is it important to know what body shape I am? Well Its important to know what body shape you are so that you can find clothing that flatter your body the best & fit the best. Its important that we feel comfortable with our bodies and to do so we need to feel “cute” in our clothing. Knowing what body shape you are will help you find clothing that will look the best on you !
What body shapes are there? There is an apple shape, pear shape, rectangle shape, inverted triangle shape, & hourglass shape!
How do I Know which body shape I am? You can just look in the mirror & try to determine . Or you can get real technical & measure your bust, waist & hip size. Sometimes its easier to see the numbers so that you can tell what part of your body is bigger or smaller.
What do You measure? You are going to measure your bust which is the center of your chest all the way around. Your waist is the bend or crease that happens when you bend to the side (See the video to see where to measure) . The hips can be measure the fullest part of your bum , usually the center of your bum, all the way around.
So what is my body shape?

Apple Shape: Means that your bust & Waist are bigger than your Hips.

You have a fuller tummy area at the middle part of your body is more round. (every body shape is beautiful don’t forget that!)

Pear Shape: Means that your bottom heavy. You hips are bigger than your bust & Waist. You look like a pear , you have a bigger booty (not a bad thing).

Rectangle Shape: You have no curves your waist , hips & bust measure pretty much the same! This is also called the athletic shape!

Inverted Triangle : You have broad shoulders! (This is my shape) Your bust is bigger than your waist & your hips are even smaller!

Hourglass Shape: Your bust & hips are fairly same , but your waist is smaller. Your waist is very defined! You have some curves!

It is a beautiful monday & I thought what a better day then to learn something new! So today Im going to be telling you all about highlighting! Im going to be answering some simple questions: what is highlighting? What kinds of highlighters are there? Why should I highlight? How do I apply it & Where? What brushes do I need? So lets begin…

1. Whats Highlighting?

I know we all look at bridal magazines or celebrity magazines & it always looks like the light hits there cheeks & nose at just the right angle! Well thats not the case , they give that illusion using makeup , specifically a highlighter! So if you want to have that glow effect then keep reading!

Its A makeup product , it can be a powder , liquid or cream product That you apply to your face to add a glow or to extenuate certain features! (gives you a glow also known as bridal glow or flawless appearance) I wasn’t even outside when I took this picture but yet the sun managed to hit me right above my cheek bones! 😀 Its all about the highlighter!

2. What can be used to highlight with?

Well You can use a powder, cream or liquid that has a light shimmer or that is just lighter than your skin tone.. Usually they have a champagne color, pinky color, or gold tone to it!

3. Where do you highlight on your face?

So you can highlight on top of your cheek bones, bridge of your nose, cupids bow, center of fore head, underneath your brow, right above your brow & even on your chin (highlight areas you want people to notice on your face , & places you want the sun to hit just right)… You do not have to highlight on all of those areas but as you can see I did on most of those & it looks pretty good! … Usually women highlight on there cheek bones & Nose.

Bronzer 101

Hello My Friends!

I hope your having a good start to your MONDAY… So schools back in and I thought why not make class fun today.. Lets talk all about bronzer! I have had a lot of you asking me about bronzer , if you can wear it, if your too light to wear it, how to wear it , what it is, what contouring is… I will show you how to universally contour ; but I am planning to do a contour 101 video where I show you how to do it according to your face shape.. But for now lets learn all about bronzer …

TIPS:

Bronzer : There are two types , A Shimmer one (Used to add glow) or a Matte one (Used for contouring)
Glow Bronzer must be 1-2 Shades darker than your skin tone, usually has a gold shimmer to it
Contouring bronzer needs to be 2-3 shades darker than your skin tone & needs to be completely matte
What is contour? It is basically corrective makeup designed to reshape your face.. (make your cheeks look slimmer, your forehead smaller your nose smaller etc)
Can anyone use bronzer? Yes you just need to pick the right shade at type for you!

Hello My Loves!

Welcome to 2014 , Its a new year ! Today I thought I would reflect on last years Beauty Favorites! Things that I love & Tell you why!

Products Mentioned:

First Off Hair & Skin: Bed Head Moisture Maniac Shampoo & Conditioner have literally saved My hair from brittle distraction! I Got them together at Cosco for $20, The smell is amazing & right away I noticed a difference!

My Absolute Favorite fragrance for 2013 Is the Pink Sweet & Flirty Perfume from Victorias Secrets ! It is a very girly, fruity with a hint of flower scent & the best part is it only cost $20

I have used aveeno for most of the year but Clean & clear morning burst cleanser has been the star… The one I am using right now is this one which I won’t get again because It has caffeine But the Fruit Infusions kind is so great! They smell good , they are gentle enough for daily use & they are just so refreshing!

Lately I have gone back to the Silk From Silk essentials I got this at regency beauty institute & it works amazing on styled hair, It makes you look like you just came out of a salon! So silk , soft & shiny…

Now Going on to Makeup!

For Eyeshadow I am absolutely loving the L’oreal Wear infinite kerrys bronzes quad the colors are some amazing bronzy neutrals, that are so pigmented & rich!

I also added this ELF $1 Eyeshadow quad in Drama because it is the perfect smokey eye, the eyeshadows are put together nicely to give you a beautiful easy smokey eye! For just a dollar you can’t beat that!

Eyebrows are a big must do every single day! I have used pencils, shadows, gels & all the above but I keep going back to Elf Eyebrow Kit : Medium It has a gel & A Shadow Its just fantastic! IT only cost $3 & it even comes with a really great eyebrow brush!

A Blush I keep on coming back to , to the point where I have hit pan is The Elf Blush: Tickled Pink It is a great universally Flattering everyday blush… It works with any look & it is just my go to blush!

Next is a Random Favorite , My Bow! I have made these bows myself… I did a DIY Bow Clip Blog post already showing you how to do this but it is so great & I am not going to lie to you but I am obsessed with BOWS!

I have tried a lot of foundations but by far my favorite to use is the Loreal magic Nude liquid powder foundation! It is a liquid foundation with a powder finish, it feels like no other drugstore foundation , it has a medium coverage & it leaves your face look natural..

The concealer duo I have been loving & has been working really well is the Elf $1 All over face concealer: Honey & The Kirkland mineral exact concealer .. I use the elf concealer to conceal blemishes & The Kirkland Concealer in yellow for under the eyes! It works amazing together!

My absolute favorite bronzer this year is the Elf Glow: Bronzed It is a mineral bronzer .. It is a neutral brown rather than warm so it is perfect for contouring!

So my favorite nail polishes of the year are Wet N Wild Candilicious , Sinful Colors: Tempest & Avon: Midnight Plum.. These nail polish are so beautiful they dry fast, apply evenly, & are really pigmented with the first coat!

Last , But not least is…. LIPSTICKS! I have raved about these lipsticks in my blog before because they are that great .. I did an in-depth review about the jordana twist & Shine balm Stains Honey Love & cranberry Crush.. They are really inexpensive at $2.99 a piece , they are moisturizing , pigmented & the best part is it is long lasting (leaves a stain)… The LA Colors Lipstick & lipgloss DUO is also another lip product I have relentlessly talked about because they are soft, creamy but they have a more matte effect & the best part is it leaves a stain that is gorgeous! Plus they are only $1 at the dollar tree , these are my fAvorite shades Flushed & Charmed…

So here is my Makeup look for today! I have talked about the profusion palettes At walgreens & the dollar tree… I am using the Dazzle me Petite Palette on my eyes to give me a more neutral eye!

Its My Birthday VLOG (2013)

Hello My Loves!

Its MY Birthday!… Actually My birthday was on mon & I Vlogged the whole day just for you! If you guys like Vlogs & want to see more make sure you comment & let me know! I want to make videos you want to see!

My day started out pretty good, It started out with my son giving me my birthday slaps in bed 😀 ! Then my husband made me breakfast! After that we went to say good bye to my brother who came down to visit for the holidays!

Then We went to my favorite store ! THE DOLLAR TREE haha , I needed to get a couple of things , after that we went to firehouse subs to take advantage of the free med sub on my birthday!

I think my son was the lucky one getting that firefighter hat! haha Sadly Hyrum has been sick all week so he was so fussy that we had to go home after that… I let him nap while I edited my videos!

So my family celebrated my birthday on sun because thats when my brother was in town & they sang to me & everything! I really enjoyed it & it was so much fun! I just want to say now how thankful I am that All of you support & show your love! Thanks for all the birthday wishes!:D

New Years Purple Smokey Eye

Hello My loves!

Its time to welcome the new year with open arms! & Its time for me to celebrate My BIRTHDAY! I just had to sneak that in here , today Is my birthday I am officially 23 years old! This isn’t my birthday look though sorry! Today I’m showing you how to do this purple smokey eye that is perfect for welcoming the new year! I used a profusion palette that you can still get at walgreens for only a limited time! So here we go….

All the Products I Used….

Nearly Naked Foundation, Rimmel stay matte powder, kirkland concealer, elf concealer honey,Elf blush berry merry, elf shimmering facial whip lilac petal, neo peele eyeshadow Profusion, Jordana 12 hr made to last eyeshadow pencil,jordana fabuliner bold, jordana balm stain honey love, cover girl famed out mascara & Its so big mascara, Starlooks gem pencil amethyst, & Last Sally hansen magnetic nail polish ionic indigo!

For the Eyes :

Step 1: Apply shade 1 underneath the brow

Step 2: Apply shade 2 all over the lid & blend

Step 3: Apply shade 3 on top of the black & in the crease & lower lash line

Step 4: Apply Shade 4 into the crease & Blend out the harsh line from the deep purple & Black

Step 5: Apply shades 5 & 1 Onto a blending brush & use it to blend the crease & lid if it is too dark…

Step 6 : Apply shade 6 into the inner corner to brighten up the look!

Step 7: Last apply shade 2 with a smudge brush really close to the lash line , then make a winged line with the jordana fabuliner

Last use the Starlooks silvery pencil in the lower lash line & Lower waterline, Then use a black in the upper waterline , add mascara & Your done with the eyes!

This is a really simple look & it is a fun new spin on a basic smokey eye! I also made sure to use only affordable products! I was really impressed with the profusion palette because it only cost $2 but yet it worked so well, you can see for yourself how pigmented the shadows are! It was seriously a rest buy…

Christmas Eve Look + Christmas VLOG

So I hope you all had happy holidays! I had such a great christmas, I saw family & Just had lots of fun! I want to share my Christmas with you guys because I think of you as my friends! So here is my Christmas Eve Gift Exchange Makeup look + I vlogged my whole christmas day & I am sharing it with you!

First Off for Christmas Eve We had a family party\Gift exchange that I dressed up for & this is my makeup look for that its super easy & perfect for the holidays!

Christmas was a total different story , no makeup just FUN! So I decided to let you guys see what I did for Christmas Day!

Hyrum Was so excited to open his presents even though he was sick he was soo good!

DIY Name Plate Gift

Hello My Beautyful Ladies!

Merry Christmas EVE… I hope you guys are having a jolly time & are all ready for CHRISTMAS.. Are you still scrambling around to get a gift for a friend or family member? Well I have any easy , inexpensive DIY Gift! It cost me a total of $2 & didn’t take long at all! So here we go …

NEED: Glass Plate (From Dollar Store), Easel, & sharpies

Step 1:

Draw the Letter of there last name on the plate , Leave space for the Established .. ( you can use a stencil I just got on my tablet looked up different fonts & Free handed it..)

Step 2: write the Established and the date they were married… (use a ruler to get a straight line)

Step 3: Grab some dimes & Nickles & Trace them with your sharpie along the edges of the plate for a cute decoration!Step 4: Write there full last name In the center over the letter..(make sure you let sharpie dry fully before writing over top)

Step 5: last bake at 350 Degrees (I preheated it) & 30 minutes (check every 10 minutes to make sure colors aren’t fading)Tips: If you mess up use rubbing alcohol to take off sharpie !
