Hard Candy Look Pro Illuminate & Strobing Mix-In Drops Review

6 / 7 / 166 / 7 / 16

hard candy review thumb

Hello my Bondbeautys,

Today is such a hot a dry day here in Arizona. I would much rather have dry heat then humidity! On the other hand, something I do not want to look dry is my face. Sometimes I just wish my foundations made my skin look more fresh & illuminated. Well ladies, I am here to do a review on a product that claims to do just that.

IMG_5262

This is the Hard Candy Look Pro Illuminate & Strobing Mix-In Drops. It is a multi-purpose, iridescent facial enhancer that instantly creates radiant, dewy complexion. Or so it claims to do so. You add it into  your foundation, into your moisturizer or you can use it alone to highlight. Right now strobing is very popular.

IMG_5557

First, lets talk about packaging. It is glass bottle with a dropper. This makes it very easy to mix into your foundation. I have been using this for about two weeks now. My favorite way to use this is to mix one drop into my Maybelline Fit Me Matte Foundation. I love the finish it gives me with that one. We will talk more about that later.

IMG_5565

These drops are very thin and easy to blend out. Its a white formula with an iridescent pinkness to it that catches the light beautifully. Looks very pearly to me. As a highlight alone it is beautiful. I recommend ,if you are using it to highlight, to spread a drop on your hand first. Then dab it on your face with your finger. It will be very easy to blend, but if you want to build the intensity I suggest doing it while it is still wet. I notice that when I try to add more when it is already dry the formula breaks down. It ends up looking cakey and it balls up. This is not something I would use for strobing unless I am using it as a base for a powder highlight. I think its more of a everyday highlight.

IMG_5548My absolute favorite way to us this is mixed into my foundation. I mix a single drop into my foundation then spread it around with my finger before dotting it onto my face. I notice that it gives me a fresh natural looking finish when mixed into a matte foundation (shown above). I it doesn’t look dewy or shimmery just very fresh and healthy.

I talk more about it and show a demo of how I like to apply it in the video below.

I have really been into a subtle highlight look lately. With that said this product is perfect for me. It gives me a healthy glow and I love it!

So, are you into a subtle highlight or strobing? Let me know in the comments!

Truffle Therapy Anti Aging Skin Serum Review

5 / 26 / 165 / 31 / 16

Picture of product
Hello My Bondbeautys,

Today I’m talking about skin care. I am one of those gals that believe less is more, well typically. I usually am very basic when it comes to skin care. Even so , I do believe that to have beautiful makeup look you do have to take care of your skin. The healthier your skin looks the better your makeup looks! So today I’m reviewing the Skin & Co Truffle Therapy Skin Serum.

Packaging:

  • Glass Bottle
  • Thick Plastic Top
  • Pump

Fragrance? Yes Smells like shea butter (pleasant not to strong, fades after applying)

Comes from organic agriculture

Zero% Sulfates, parabens, mineral oils, phthalates

Claims:

  • Restores skin with undetected radiance
  • Fine lines start fading
  • roughness surrendered
  • silky smoothness
  • skin looks firmer and brighter
  • creates healthful ,youthful complexion

I have used this for almost two weeks and I’m going to share with you all the information you will need!

My skin typically has large pores in the cheek area and is very dry. I also have blochy complexion as well. After almost two weeks of using this serum this is how my skin looks( no filters or editing).

bare face afterWhat I have Noticed:

  • Healthy looking skin
  • Radiance/glowy
  • pores minimized
  • makeup goes on over top smoother
  • skin smooth
  • skin looks less rough/textured
  • no reaction with my sensitive skin
  • skin feels firmer
  • skin is not as blochy

Application:

  1. wash/cleanse face
  2. apply serum
  3. apply moisturizer
  4. apply makeup as usual

My thoughts:

I have noticed that my skin looks all and all healthier. Usually even with makeup my skin looks cakey and rough in person. I did not change my foundation or any other makeup products when trying this. My skin looked a lot smoother and more natural when using this. It was the first thing I noticed. It also didn’t detract from the longevity of my makeup. I feel like my face makeup even lasted longer when I used this. Like it just the makeup sat on my skin a lot better. Honestly this is a skin care product that is here to stay for me! I am very pleased with it. I am a firm believer that the healthier your bare skin looks the better your makeup over top will look! I also love how it hydrated my skin. I tend to have very dry skin and I felt like this worked wonders for the dryness. Usually by the end of the day my nose and cheeks are dry. The serum really made a difference with that.

These are my honest thoughts. Here are some unfiltered un edited pictures of my face with makeup after using this.

New Sinful Shine Collection

3 / 19 / 14

IMG_0786Hello My Bond Beauties,

Happy Wednesday, today I wanted to tell you about a new collection from sinful colors. I have only seen these at Walgreens and they have a total of 36 Colors. The colors are amazing , they have some great spring and summer colors, as well as some dark colors. I bought 6 to try out so if you want to see the colors I got & What I thought about them then click below.

Let me start out by saying that these polishes are probably one of the best ones I have tried from Sinful colors. The formula is amazing.

nailpolish CrazeSo there is a lot I love about these. Out of the six I have tried I have not yet been disappointed they have all been hits. All you need is two thin coats and the color looks as pigmented as it does in the bottle. I have noticed that they are also super shiny without a top coat. They take only a min to dry which is perfect for moms and women who don’t have a lot of time to paint their nails. I also love how long they wear. I cook , clean , hand wash dishes and chase a one year old around so my nail polish tends to chip faster then other women. This nail polish lasts me a week and a half with a top coat & three to four day without  a top coat , before they start chipping. But, the thing that really impressed me is how fast this nail polish comes off with regular nail polish remover. One swipe and I’m literally pretty much done with my nail! I hate when I have to sit and scrub my nail polish for it to come off  , its too time consuming for me. I personally love these I think they are great I have yet to find something that I don’t like! These polishes retail for $1.99 at Walgreens , I haven’t seen them at Walmart yet but I am sure they are probably going to show up there next!.

Swatch Set 1Swatch 2

So here are the swatches of each polish that I have. I did two thin coats and no top or base coat with these. I am so excited about these polishes because I have noticed that the formula is different than the regular sinful colors nail polish.

So now lets talk about my makeup look for today..

look of the day

IMG_0782So I decided to go with a lighter pinker makeup look today. I personally am in love with my lipstick which is  a color whisper in plum prospect. It is so creamy and slick and the formula is so thin but full of amazing color!

So What polish are you wearing on your nails today?

I hope you guys enjoyed this nail polish video & blog post I know I don’t do them that often! Stay updated because I am going to do a Spring & Summer Nailpolish of 2014 Blog post / Video pretty soon! Till Next time.

Let it shine ! Beauty
